The Seashore Clinic offers psychological services for individuals in the community. The clinic also provides a training center for graduate students in Iowa's Department of Psychology and Brain Sciences and a site for psychology research. Graduate students provide individual psychotherapy for children and adults, parent-management training, general psychological assessments, assessments for learning disorders and IDD waivers, and gender-affirming evaluations under supervision by faculty and staff psychologists.
Please note that all sessions are video-recorded for supervision and training purposes and to ensure all clients receive the highest-quality services. The clinic accepts applications from individuals and referrals from various agencies and professionals. Because we select cases to meet training needs and faculty expertise, we may refer some clients to other agencies.
