A partnership between the University of Iowa College of Education and the Iowa Department of Education, the Scanlan Center for School Mental Health is the state’s hub for school-based mental health research, training, professional learning, and clinical services.

The center team works with schools, districts, AEAs, universities/colleges, and key stakeholders across the state to support the well-being of PreK-12 students and educators as well as college students and faculty.

In addition to research and resources, the center offers short-term individual counseling, group counseling, and post-crisis services for students over the age of 10 and PreK-12 school staff.
